The Macallan No. 6 represents a crowning achievement in luxury spirits, meticulously designed around the distillery’s Six Pillars—the foundational principles that define its character, from its unique small stills to its obsession with wood. To celebrate these pillars, Macallan collaborated with the iconic French crystal house Lalique to create a breathtaking, six-faceted crystal decanter. The geometric design beautifully catches and refracts the light, showcasing the dark, natural color of the liquid trapped within.
The single malt inside is just as extraordinary as its vessel. Master blenders sourced this liquid exclusively from first-fill, sherry-seasoned Spanish oak casks. Because these casks have never held anything but fine Oloroso sherry before, they impart an incredibly concentrated, heavy spice profile and a deep walnut hue that is entirely natural. Bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof), it boasts a thick, oily, and heavy-bodied mouthfeel that delivers a textbook demonstration of classic old-world Macallan richness.
