This specific release comes from Barrel #7128 and was aged for approximately 8 years in new charred American white oak barrels, developing a strong balance of youthful energy and emerging oak maturity.
Bottled at 126.4 proof (63.2% ABV), this whiskey sits in Willett’s classic barrel-proof range. It is non-blended and non-chill filtered, meaning all natural oils, structure, and intensity from the barrel are preserved in the final bottle.
On the nose, it typically opens with rich caramel, brown sugar, vanilla bean, and toasted oak, followed by fruit notes such as cherry and plum, along with subtle spice and herbal undertones. The palate is full-bodied and layered, showing toffee, molasses, cocoa, cinnamon, leather, and charred oak, with a noticeable but well-integrated heat from the proof. The finish is long, warming, and slightly dry, with lingering oak spice, dark sugar, pepper, and sweet caramel.
