The Macallan Estate is a truly distinct, premium non-age-statement release that celebrates the brand’s terroir—the specific natural environment where its history began. While much of Macallan’s barley is sourced from trusted farmers across Scotland and Northern Ireland, this single malt features a core portion of precious, rare barley grown on the 485-acre Easter Elchies estate. This estate barley is meticulously harvested just once a year, providing an exclusive, direct link to the very ground beneath the distillery.
To craft this expression, master blenders marry the home-grown estate spirit with premium stock matured in exceptional sherry-seasoned oak casks. Bottled at an elegant 43% ABV (86 proof), it strikes a beautiful harmony between the soft, orchard-fruit sweetness of the estate barley and the robust, spice-forward influence of European oak. It is beautifully packaged in a premium display case featuring an inlay made of real, hand-cut Scottish slate, mirroring the rugged landscape of the Speyside region.
