Smoke Wagon Desert Jewel Reserve 10 Year Old is a legendary release from Nevada H&C Distilling Co. that has achieved near-mythic status among bourbon enthusiasts. While the juice itself originates from MGP’s famous high-rye mash bill (36% rye) in Indiana, its true character was forged in the dry, intense climate of Las Vegas, Nevada. The extreme desert temperature swings accelerate the interaction between the whiskey and the barrel, resulting in a 10-year-old bourbon with the depth and complexity typically found in much older spirits.
Bottled at a sturdy 104 proof, Desert Jewel strikes a flawless balance. It preserves the uncut, unfiltered intensity that Smoke Wagon fans love, while the a full decade in oak completely softens any harsh edges, replacing them with a luxurious, velvety texture.

Appearance: Deep, dark chestnut with heavy, oily legs coating the glass.

Aroma: An immediate wave of sweet, premium leather, toasted oak, and rich vanilla bean, followed by bright undertones of stone fruit, orange zest, and rye baking spice.

Palate: Thick and mouth-coating. Complex layers of dark brown sugar, creamy caramel, and rich cocoa give way to a brilliant flash of spicy black pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg—a hallmark of the heavy rye content.

Finish: Exceptionally long, warm, and drying. The deep oak tannins and sweet vanilla linger beautifully, capped off by a satisfying, lingering rye tingle.
Presented in an elegantly embossed, custom-molded bottle featuring a striking blue wax seal, the Desert Jewel Reserve looks just as spectacular on a top shelf as it tastes in a glass. It is a monumental expression best enjoyed neat or with a large, slow-melting ice sphere.
