Aged for a full decade and a half in deep-charred new American oak, these barrels are plucked exclusively from the prime center floors of the rackhouses, where temperature fluctuations are most consistent. By replacing the traditional rye with wheat and bottling at a sturdy, historic 107 proof, this bourbon preserves an uncut feel and a heavy-bodied viscosity that perfectly showcases the power of the grain before the wood completely dominates the spirit.
