Crafted by Rock Town Distillery—the very first legal, award-winning distillery founded in the state of Arkansas since Prohibition—this premium expression showcases the incredible terroir of the American South. Eschewing the common industry practice of sourcing mass-produced liquid from mega-distilleries, Rock Town handles every single stage of the process under one roof in downtown Little Rock, producing a hyper-local spirit that has won top honors in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible.
The extraordinary depth of this single barrel release relies entirely on a premium, locally grown mash bill. The distillery works directly with Arkansas farmers to source Arkansas corn, soft red winter wheat, and malted barley. By utilizing local wheat as the flavor grain instead of rye, Rock Town creates an exceptionally smooth, soft, and naturally sweet distillate base.
The liquid is distilled in small batches using a custom copper pot still, before being tucked away into heavily charred new American white oak barrels. Because this is a Single Barrel and Cask Strength program, the liquid is never blended with other barrels, nor is it diluted down with water before bottling. Each barrel acts as an individual time capsule, reflecting its specific maturation spot in the rickhouse and bottling at its natural, high-proof state. Featuring handwritten barrel and proof details on its bold black-and-gold label, this bottle delivers immense craft authenticity and conversion power on digital shelves.
