The true magic of this expression lies in its unique name and composition. To craft this bottle, Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley married three entirely separate, celebrated Buffalo Trace mash bills that entered the barrel in 2002: Mash Bill #1 (traditional low-rye bourbon), Mash Bill #2 (higher-rye bourbon), and their ultra-premium Wheated Bourbon Mash Bill (the same DNA found in the legendary Weller and Pappy Van Winkle lines).
After resting quietly for 18 full years in the historic brick-and-limestone Warehouse C, these barrels were carefully integrated to combine the sweet creaminess of wheat, the crisp fruitiness of rye, and the classic vanilla backbone of corn. Complying strictly with Bottled-in-Bond regulations, it is bottled at exactly 50% ABV (100 Proof) using entirely natural coloring and non-chill filtration.
